Winning team of Action for A Cause Competition 2018

3D (26) OJHA SOUMIK and 3D (29) SINGH KARANPREET joined the Powered By Youth Forum and Action for A Cause Competition 2018 at King George V School. They formulated the "Born to Be Happy" project in order to solve the social poverty and public health problems in the Hong Kong society. They were one of the winning teams of Action for A Cause Competition and received $3000 seed fund for their project.

LIMBU Sneha (2B) Represented Hong Kong

We share the same excitement with LIMBU Sneha of 2B as she produced an outstanding performance representing Hong Kong Women's U17 in the Jockey Club Girls' International Youth Invitational Football Tournament 2019 from 28 to 31 March 2019 at Po Kong Village Road Park Artificial Turf Football Pitch.
Sneha featured in all three matches of the host, and scored the only goal in the first game against Northern Mariana Islands, with another one in the final game against Guam. She was one of the delights of the Hong Kong Team and her performance attracted a lot of attention and high praises. At the same time, we would like to express our congratulations to the Hong Kong Women's U-17 Representative Team on winning the 2nd place in the tournament.

The HKSSF Interschool Division 3 (Kowloon 2) Badminton Competition

Our Grade B Badminton Team has qualified for the semi-final of the HKSSF Interschool Division 3 (Kowloon 2) Badminton Competition this year! This is the first time we qualified for the semi-final and ranked 4th in the tournament. This is the best result so far in the history of SEKSSWK Badminton Team's history. Congratulation!

Oxford University Press, Oxford + Keys HKDSE Mock Exams 2018/2019 (English Language)

Hearty congratulations to Kandangwa Angel of S5A on her stellar performance in the Oxford + Keys HKDSE Mock Exams in English Language. In December 2018, Angel was one of 2,000 Hong Kong students who sat the exam. She ranked in the top 5% of the candidates by achieving a level 5 in Paper 1 Reading, and a level 5* in Paper 3 Listening and Integrated Skills. Let's hope Angel can maintain this fine form when she takes the HKDSE.

The Most Active Participation School Award

Congratulations! Our students participated in the "Jyutping Competition" (第三屆全港粵語拼音大賽) on 19th January 2019. They performed outstandingly in the competition. Our school won 'The Most Active Participation School Award'. The awardees are:

Alumni news

We would like to highlight the recent achievement of our alumnus Cortes Joshua Alison Corpuz who recently received an accolade from the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS).
After graduating in 2016, Joshua enrolled in the Associate of Arts in Languages and Humanities - Korean Studies Theme programme at HKU SPACE Community College. Through his diligence and unfailing efforts, he furthered his studies in Hong Kong Baptist University, doing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Hons) - Accounting Concentration. He is currently active in his university life working as a volunteer in Inter-cultural Education and being involved in the International Student Club and Society of Accounting as well.
Joshua encourages our schoolmates that "even though DSE is rough, don't struggle as you start at rock bottom! Just keep trying, until you succeed!"

the HKSSF Interschool Division 3 (Kowloon 3) Basketball Competition
Our A Grade Basketball Ball Team has qualified for the semi-final of the HKSSF Interschool Division 3 (Kowloon 3) Basketball Competition continuously this year! In an exciting 2nd runner-up final, although we were behind after the 1st quarter in the game, our team played the best of them with the cheering from students, students' parents and school staff. We finally won the 2nd runner-up award. Congratulation!

Fight Crime without Boundary Talent Show 2018
The Indian Punjabi Dance Team participated in the "Fight Crime without Boundary Talent Show 2018" organized by Kowloon West Regional Crime Prevention Office and the Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee on 17th November 2018. The boys perform exceptionally well and highlighted some social issues like bullying, drugs abuse, fighting at public places etc. They got Champion award together with Best Costume Award, Most Creative Performance Award and Most Educational Performance Award to Deliver Crime Prevention Message to the society.

Australian National Chemistry Quiz 2018
Congratulations to the following students on receiving 2 High Distinction Excellence and 1 High Distinction awards in the Australian National Chemistry Quiz 2018. 6A Riria Motooka obtained a perfect score of 30 out of 30. She also received a Certificate of Excellence and a Lapel Pin. This is first time for our student received such honour.

Little Devil Talent Competition
Three of our students, Pradhan Reza (3E), Gurung Shima (5C) and Gurung Manita (5E), participated in the Little Devil Talent Competition hosted by the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, and they were awarded 1st runner-up and won $5000 voucher. Conratulations to all of them!

Inter-school swimming competition 2018-2019
Congratulations to TO SUM KI 5B on winning Girls A grade 3rd runner-up in 100m Breast Stroke. Congratulations to CHOI PIK YEE 5B, TO SUM KI 5B, CHEUNG HOI SHUEN 6A and KOO WING WAH SABRINA 6A on winning Girls A grade 3rd runner-up in 4x50m Medley Relay in 2018-2019 Inter school Swimming Competition.

Our Pride and Glory
Our Basketball Team player, ZAC (6B), and Football Team players, Tristian (6B) and Mohan (4E), were selected to represent Hong Kong in Interport Matches.
Sneha (1C) was selected to the Allianz Junior Football Camp in Germany in August 2018.
