2025-03-22 我行我素小廚神爭霸戰

Congratulations to our two students HASRAT from 3B and SHABANA from 3C has won the cooking competition on 22-3-2025 which was held by the Rotary Club!
On that day, HASRAT & SHABANA made the Crispy Almond Eggplant for the semi final and made the designated veggie dish for the final. Their dishes were highly praised by the judges including the Italian Cuisine Chef from Ritz-Carlton and nutritionist.

2025-03-14 Learning Celebrations

Our school hosted its annual Learning Celebrations Ceremony on 14 March 2025. The event highlighted the achievements, creativity, and community involvement of our students. Following the recognition of students’ achievements through the prize-giving ceremony, the day was filled with inspiring sharing sessions and dynamic performances, showcasing the diverse talents and experiences of SEK students.

2025-03-07 陪我講Shall We Talk

為了在學校層面進一步推廣精神健康的重要性,我校的輔導主任帶同學生參加了教育局聯同「陪我講Shall We Talk」於2025年3月7日舉行的「【動.心】精神健康同樂日」。配合了政府在《行政長官2024年施政報告》中提出將加強醫、教、社協作服務,促進市民精神健康,當中包括在校園加大推廣《4Rs精神健康約章》 (《約章》),全面提升學生、教職員及家長的精神健康。

Sports Day is one of the most anticipated and beloved events at our school, celebrating sportsmanship, teamwork, and community spirit. This year, the Sports Day (Heat) and Sports Day (Final) were held on 5th and 6th February 2025 at Sham Shui Po Sports Ground.

To provide an opportunity to students to explore various training facilities, gain insights into the daily training of Hong Kong Police Force and enhance their understanding of police work.

2024-12-07 Service Visit in Elderly Centre

15 students joined the Service Visit on 7th December, 2024. Our students showed their care and love to the elderly by playing games, singing Christmas songs, drawing henna and giving out the gifts. The students spent an afternoon in the Choi Ha Elderly Centre. Also, this activity helped to create cultural harmony.

2024-12-03 The opening of Chinese culture room1

On December 3, 2024, we celebrated the grand opening of the Chinese Culture Room, which is proudly named 嘉文軒 by our Principal Lee. We were honored to welcome Mr. Cheng Kwok Yan Brian, Chairman of the SMC, as our esteemed guest for the opening ceremony. The room features a traditional antique design and aims to provide students with an authentic learning experience. It offers exposure to Chinese culture to enhance our students’ understanding and appreciation of Chinese heritage.

Ng Teng Fong Scholarship Presentation Ceremony

Thapa Agrim from 5A has been awarded the Ng Teng Fong Scholarship for 2024. This honor, presented by the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation in partnership with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, acknowledges his exceptional academic achievements, commendable character, and active participation in extracurricular and community endeavors. The award ceremony was held on 17 December 2024, and it was a tremendous success. Congratulations to Agrim!

Education and Career Expo 2025

On January 19, 2025, the Principal, the Assistant Principal Mr CHAN, Miss Poon, and S3-S5 students went to the Education and Career Expo 2025 in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event showed many educational opportunities and career paths. Students felt inspired to think about their futures. They received an invitation to join the Recruitment Seminars from the Civil Service Bureau. This chance helps students learn about public service jobs and talk with professionals. They can also understand the application process. The visit opened their eyes to new possibilities for their careers.

14th Inter-government Secondary Schools Debate Competition

The debate team of Sir Ellis Kadoorie Secondary School achieved a remarkable victory in the preliminary round of the 14th Inter-government Secondary Schools Debate Competition on 1 March 2025. Led by team captain Yazmin Tamrakar (5B), they faced Sha Tin Government Secondary School (STGSS) on the motion: “The comprehensive assistance scheme for the unemployed should be abolished for abled persons.” The team won decisively, with a score of 3-0, and Yazmin was awarded Best Debater. Team members Arsam Saberi and Mandasari Andrea Stephani also contributed to the win. FGSS Principal Ms. Wong Pik Wah presented the certificates. With this victory, SEK advances to the Quarter Finals on 3 May 2025, building excitement for their next challenge!

“Belt and Road” District Forum

20 students joined the “Belt and Road” District Forum in Yau Tsim Mong Multicultural Activity Centre on 7th March 2025. This event was an enriching experience for all the students, offering insights into the diverse cultures of Belt and Road countries while encouraging meaningful connections within the community. Moreover, students are inspired by the successful personalities from the Belt and Road countries to pursue their own goals and aspirations.
